Sunshine Housing Co-op Construction completed in February 2025 on the new six-story, wood-frame building will have a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. Six of the homes will be accessible. Two levels of underground parking, an amenity room, lounge, communal kitchen with a dining area, and a pet-washing station, construction.
Sunshine Housing Co-operative, partnered with the Community Land Trust of B.C. (CLT), The Province, through BC Housing, and the City of Surrey to build a new 69-home affordable co-operative housing development in Surrey. A ground breaking ceremony took place on Nov 23, 2022 at 13225-104 Ave. Construction completed Feb 27, 2025 Members started moving into their new homes March 1, 2025.
Built in 1980 Sunshine Housing co-op, is currently located about four blocks from the site, at 10744 133rd St. The original site contained of 39 membership households living, in one, two, and three bedroom townhouse units. The Lease on the original this land expired in 2023
